General Maintenance Employee Opening

The City of Monroe is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a General Maintenance Employee.  Position will be responsible for assisting with park and cemetery maintenance, street maintenance, water and wastewater systems, and many other duties as assigned.  Minimum qualifications are: high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and CDL.  After one year of employment, employee will be required to get Water Distribution and Wastewater Treatment Certifications.  Salary will be determined based on qualifications.  Applications are available at the Monroe City Hall or online at  Please send resume and completed application to Monroe City Hall, PO Box 370, Monroe, IA 50170.  Applications are due by May 26,  2023.   The City of Monroe is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
