General Maintenance Employee Opening

City of Monroe is accepting bids

The City of Monroe is accepting bids for a 1993 GMC 3500 dual wheel, 6.5L diesel automatic Fire Truck.  Fire Truck has an Onan generator, power steering, 250 gallon water tank, and utility box.  Miles on the truck are 10,601. Truck has been well taken care of, serviced and maintained regularly.  Bids can be mailed or dropped off at the Monroe City Hall, PO Box 370, 206 West Sherman Street, Monroe, Iowa 50170.  All bids must be received by 4:30 P.M. on May 5, 2023.  Bids will be considered at the May 8, 2023, council meeting starting 7 P.M.  If you have questions regarding this truck or would like to take a look at the truck, please contact Monroe City Hall at 641-259-3490.  The City of Monroe has the right to refuse any or all bids.      

Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority

The City of Monroe is a member of the Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority. As a member government, a representative and alternate are appointed by the Mayor and Council to serve a three-year term on the Board of Commissioners.  Please contact City Hall if you are interested in serving our community.  Representatives must attend the regular monthly meetings in person or via Zoom.  Meetings are typically held in Grimes, Iowa.
